It’s the next Radiant Live! Head down next Thursday May 26 to catch Megastick Fanfare’s album launch.

Megastick Fanfare’s album has taken forever to come out, but now it’s dropped and it’s full of amazing, warped psych-pop. I’m betting it’ll sound amazing in the small confines of FBi Social.

Parking Lot Experiments follow a similar vein, and were a riot last time I saw them in Melbourne. Make sure you catch them.

New kids on the Sydney block Sealion are sounding mighty fine too, with that grandiose pop sound that mates like Parades, Jono Boulet and Kyu have already put on the map.

It’s a killer bill, and the poppiest edition of Radiant Live that you’re likely to see anytime soon. Some come down and have a dance. It’s gonna be killer.

I’ve been AWOL on this side of things for a few weeks now, but I’m stoked to have show’s history a bit more clearly mapped out, along with downloads. Some new ones, too!

You can find a full listing of past Radiant episodes and guests here. I’m trying to keep it up to date, and work backwards filling all of the gaps, download-wise. Expect downloads of almost all appearances, eventually. There’s a couple that didn’t get recorded/can’t be posted/got lost for whatever reason… but the rest are ready to rock.

Right now there’s also a few new downloads, with Jamie Hutchings, Holly Throsby and Anna Chase all up there. I really enjoyed all of these, with great performances and chats all ‘round. Download them and enjoy.

Speaking of revisiting Radiant, FBi Radio are currently doing a supporter drive, which means we’re asking you to sign up as a supporter and be a part of keeping us on air.

It’s only $7 a month (ie. you won’t even notice it), but it’s absolutely essential to keeping us going - the majority of our funding comes from listeners like yourselves!

There’s an added incentive too - one of the key upcoming developments for the station is listening on demand, which means you’ll be able to listen to at least a few weeks’ worth of past Radiant episodes whenever you want! Currently I’m only putting up the live appearances for legal reasons (and even the live sets are a bit grey), but this will give the full 2hr program on demand. Should make it much easier to hear everything that happens on the show.

So please, go ahead and sign up as a supporter - there’s shitloads of cool prizes, etc. too if you need extra incentive. I do this whole thing as a volunteer because I love the music and want you to hear it - a few dollars here and there to keep the station that makes it all happen (along with other amazing shows like New Weird Australia, Utility Fog, Sunday Night At The Movies, The Bridge, Jack Off With Jack Shit, etc) going and healthy would be really kind of you.

I’ve also got Radiant Live #3 coming up, and it’s a cracker - Megastick Fanfare’s album launch. I’ll post some music/poster/etc action soon, but check out the Facebook event now. Parking Lot Experiments (Melb) and Sealion support, it’ll be huge.

Last but not least, the show is on Twitter as @radiantsydney. I post a lot of music/chat/etc, please follow and interact. I’ll integrate it into the site too.

Alright, that’s all from now. Bed time. More stuff coming here very soon.

PEACE!
